LONDON (ICIS)--Oxea is in the process of restarting production at its oxo-alcohols plant in Oberhausen, Germany, following a planned turnaround, a company source said on Monday.
"We’re in the middle of restarting," the source said. The restart process began over the weekend, according to another source at the company.
Maintenance work began on 24 May and was scheduled to last four weeks. The company produces n-butanol (NBA), isobutanol (IBA) and 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) at the site.
Nameplate capacities at Oberhausen are around 300,000 tonnes/year for 2-EH, 130,000 tonnes/year for NBA, and 10,000 tonnes/year for IBA, the first source confirmed.
