LONDON (ICIS)--German petrochemicals major BASF is expecting to achieve on-spec production from its Antwerp, Belgium cracker today, slightly later than was anticipated last week but still within its planned window, a company source said on Tuesday.
The cracker was in the restart phase last week, following planned maintenance which had begun at the end of April. On-spec production had originally been expected over the 22-23 June weekend.
The cracker has the capacity to produce 1.08m tonnes/year of ethylene and is Europe’s largest cracker.
