HOUSTON (ICIS)--Fluor has won a contract for work on a clean fuels project at Sasol’s Natref joint-venture refinery in Sasolburg, South Africa, the US-based petrochemicals and energy engineering firm said on Tuesday.
Fluor’s work on the Natref Clean Fuels 2 Project includes development, design and construction of new process units to meet specifications under South Africa’s fuels legislation, it said.
In addition, "some extensive modifications" of existing Natref refining units will be evaluated, Fluor said. It did not disclose details about costs, capacities or timelines for completion of the work.
Natref is a joint venture between Sasol and French oil and petrochemicals major Total.
