HOUSTON (ICIS)— Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) announced Tuesday the board of directors has appointed D. Cameron Findlay as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective 15 July.
In a statement the company said Findlay will be responsible for law, compliance and government relations functions for ADM and will report to company chairman Patricia Woertz. Findlay is replacing Marschall Smith who is resigning.
“Cam is a proven leader with exceptional experience managing global legal, regulatory, compliance, and public policy issues,” said Woertz. “He brings to ADM an impressive range of experience in business, government and the law, and I am pleased that he is joining our leadership team.”
Prior to joining the Illinois-based agribusiness company, Findlay served since 2009 in the same capacity for Medtronic, which is the world’s largest medical device manufacturer. He also has served as deputy assistant to President George H.W. Bush, deputy secretary at the Department of Labor and as a law clerk for US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.
