HOUSTON (ICIS)—US propylene inventories gained 2.4% week on week for the week ended 21 June, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.

US inventories of non-fuel refinery-sourced propylene moved up to 3.091m bbl for the week ended 21 June, compared with 3.020m bbl the previous week.

The increase is the second in a row after inventories had declined for the previous six weeks.

A large part of the week on week increase came from US refinery operating rates, which moved up to 90.2% from 89.3%, according to EIA data.
