LONDON (ICIS)--European refined vegetable glycerine values firmed on tight supply and healthy demand, according to sources late on Wednesday.
Spot refined vegetable glycerine values were assessed at €660-720/tonne ($857-935/tonne) FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe), up €30-50/tonne week on week.
Supply of refined vegetable glycerine has tightened as a result of limited crude glycerine availability, which has been caused by low biodiesel production in Europe.
“No bids beginning with a ‘6’ will be considered,” one producer said. “This is a seller’s market – you can choose your customers now.”
