MOVES: Schweens, Stumpp to head BASF S America, Mexicana divisions

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Ralph Schweens has been named as president of BASF’s South America regional division effective 1 October, the global petrochemical major announced on Thursday.

Schweens, currently the managing director of BASF Mexicana in Mexico City, will be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

He will take over for Alfred Hackenberger, who is retiring on 30 September after more than 30 years with Germany-based BASF.

Michael Stumpp will take over for Schweens as managing director of BASF Mexicana effective 1 September. He currently is the senior vice president of BASF’s Global Home & Personal Care Business in the Care Chemicals division.
