SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhenhai Taida Chemical is running its 60,000 tonne/year phthalic anhydride (PA) plant in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, at 50-60% capacity following the restart on 30 June,  a company source said on Monday.

We are expecting to achieve on-spec production tonight (1 July),” the source added.

The producer shut the plant on 22 June, because of an equipment failure, according to the source.

The restart of the plant is expected to increase PA supply in east China, a market player said.
