SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Yeochun NCC (YNCC) has settled its June butadiene (BD) contract at $1,302/tonne (€1,003/tonne), down by $178/tonne from the previous month, a company source said on Monday.
The producer’s contract settlement for May was $1,480/tonne pipeline DEL (delivered).
YNCC derives its monthly contract price settlement from the average spot BD prices for that particular month.
In the week ended 28 June, BD spot prices averaged $1,125/tonne CFR (cost & freight) northeast (NE) Asia, down by $270/tonne from 7 June, when prices averaged $1,395/tonne CFR NE Asia, according to ICIS data.
