Larsen & Toubro wins work for India PX project

LONDON (ICIS)--Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won an Indian rupee (R) 10bn ($167m) contract to build a paraxylene (PX) plant for a “leading refinery in India”, the Mumbai-based engineering and technology firm said on Tuesday.

L&T said that under a memorandum of understanding with its client, the project would be executed over a 30-month period.

However, L&T did not disclose the client's name, and it did not disclose details about the project’s capacities, location in India, or expected dates for start and completion of construction.
