SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Fushun Petrochemical’s 200,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant in China's Liaoning province has remained shut as of Wednesday, with no new restart date set for the unit, a company source said.
The plant, which was shut for maintenance in mid-May, was supposed to resume production early this month based on a revised schedule. The original restart date was 20 June.
“We cannot confirm the actual restart time now,” the source said.
No reason was provided for the delays in restarting the plant.
Fushun Petrochemical is a subsidiary of PetroChina.
