SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s LCY Chemical plans to shut its 250,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Kaohsiung in late August for 15-20 days of regular maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
The shutdown is unlikely to have a significant impact on the market as supply is ample, according to market participants.
The company‘s separate 150,000 tonne/year PP plant at the same site is operating at 100% capacity and will continue to run at that rate during the shutdown period, the company source said.
