LONDON (ICIS)--An initial European July paraxylene (PX) contract price has been settled at €1,100/tonne ($1,428/tonne), up by €8/tonne from the previous month, one buyer said on Thursday.

Players had expected a rollover from June.

The contract was agreed on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis.

Further confirmation from other players is pending.
