S Korea’s Lotte buys 25,000 tonnes naphtha at firmer premiums

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Lotte Chemical has bought a 25,000-tonne naphtha cargo for delivery to Yeosu in the second half of August, traders said on Friday.

The deal for the cargo was done at $4.00-5.00/tonne (€3.12-3.90/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight), they said.

The premium rose from its previous spot purchase, when Lotte acquired two naphtha cargoes totalling 50,000 tonnes for delivery to Yeosu in the first half of August. The deals for the cargoes were done at a premium of $2.00/tonne to Japan quotes CFR.
