MELBOURNE (ICIS)--China’s Shanghai Huayi Group has shut its 200,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac) plant at Wuwei in Anhui province for a turnaround, a company source said on Friday.

The etac plant, along with the company’s upstream 500,000 tonne/year acetic acid plant and 600,000 tonne/year methanol plant at the same site, was taken off line in late June to undergo maintenance lasting three to four weeks, the source said.
