LONDON (ICIS)--Czech chemical output rose by 1.5% year on year in May, the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO) said on Monday.

However, overall industrial production fell by 2.2%, with manufacturing down by 1.3%, it added.

The manufacture of rubber and plastic products was down by 2.4% year on year in May, the CZSO said.

Mining and quarrying output fell by 25.3% and textile production by 3.3%. The production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers decreased by 2.6%, while the manufacture of furniture edged up by 0.1%.
