HOUSTON (ICIS)—US butyl acetate exports rose 52% year on year for May, according to data released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) Monday.
Overall butyl acetate exports increased from 4,877 tonnes in May 2012 to 7,437 tonnes for May 2013. Year to date, exports increased 10% from last year.
Most of the increased export for butyl acetate went to the United Arab Emirates, which saw a doubling of butyl acetate product from the US year over year, from 1,020 last year to 2,200 this year. Year to date, butyl acetate exports to UAB more than tripled.
Other major butyl acetate export countries include Mexico, Canada, South Africa, France, Peru, Belgium, Costa Rica, Argentina and Venezuela.
