French chemical output falls 0.6% month on month in May

LONDON (ICIS)--French production of chemicals and chemical products fell 0.6% in May from the previous month, French national statistics bureau Insee said on Wednesday.

Overall industrial production in the eurozone's second largest economy for the month was down 0.4%, with manufacturing declining 1.1%, it added.

Production of rubber and plastic products and other non-metallic mineral products decreased 2%, while the manufacture of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers increased 1.7% and the production of textiles, wearing apparel, leather and related products rose 1.1%, Insee said.
