MOSCOW (ICIS)--Acron Group's mineral and nitrogen fertilizer production rose in the first half of 2013, the Russian producer said in a results statement on Thursday.
In January to June, Acron produced 1.46m tonnes of nitrogen fertilizers, 3% up year on year, the company said. Production of complex fertilizers was 1.35m tonnes in the first half of the year, up from 1.34m tonnes, it said.
Nitrogen fertilizers output volumes increased due to the stable operations of the company's ammonia production facilities, said Acron's acting CEO, Alexander Popov.
The global markets of mineral fertilizers were dominated by "negative dynamics" in the first half of 2013, he said.
However, Acron did not experience problems, because of its long-term contracts to sell nitrogen fertilizers, Popov said. At the moment, the nitrogen fertilizers market situation has stabilised, he said.
