LONDON (ICIS)--European third-quarter titanium dioxide (TiO2) prices have rolled over because supply is balanced and demand is low, sources said on Friday.
The third quarter TiO2 price is at €2.35-2.50/kg ($3.10-3.30/kg) FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).
Producers were aiming to increase prices by as much as €0.20/kg earlier in the second quarter but this was met with a lot of resistance from buyers who argued that consumption rates are still relatively low and the peak season has not occurred this year.
