HOUSTON (ICIS)--YPF’s methanol plant in Argentina will shut down for about 45 days of planned maintenance on Tuesday, 16 July, the company said on Friday.

The company warned residents in Plaza Huincul that the 400,000 tonnes/year plant might produce flaring and loud noise during the first five days of the work.

In 2012, the government nationalised YPF, appropriating most of the stake owned by Spanish energy producer Repsol.
