China June PE, PP imports slip 1.5% month on month: traders

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China is estimated to have imported 1.07m tonnes of combined polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) in June, down by 1.5% from the previous month, local traders said on Tuesday.

Some 702,000 tonnes of PE and 370,000 tonnes of PP were brought into the country last month, they said.

Compared with May, PE imports in June increased by 0.56%, while PP imports declined by 5.30%, traders said.

China Customs' data on June imports will be released around 24 July.
