US Tronox selects engineering for aluminium generator in Australia

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US-based titanium dioxide (TiO2) producer Tronox has chosen Jacobs to perform early-stage engineering for an aluminium generator at its pigment plant in Kwinana, Australia, the US-based engineering firm said on Tuesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Jacobs will study various generator technologies for the site, and the selected technology will also be integrated into Tronox sites in Hamilton, Mississippi, and in Botlek, The Netherlands.

“We look forward to integrating our strong local capabilities in the region with our global experience and the work we have previously done with Tronox at their Hamilton, Mississippi, facility,” said Tom Quinnstated, vice president of Jacobs Group.
