TOKYO (ICIS)--Idemitsu Lube is strengthening its sales network in China by setting up a fifth base in Chongqing, its parent firm Idemitsu Kosan of Japan said on Wednesday.

Chongqing is the headquarters of Changan Automobile, which is one of the four biggest car producers in China, Idemitsu Kosan said in a statement.

Idemitsu expects demand for lube oil to grow and its sales volume to increase with the growing Chinese automotive market, the company said.

The company plans to sell a total of 3,300 kilolitres (1,165 tonnes) of lube oil in the Chongqing and Sichuan area in 2013, Idemitsu said.
