EU May phenol imports, exports drop on falling global demand

LONDON (ICIS)--EU phenol imports and exports both fell in May year on year, Eurostat data showed on Thursday, because of falling global demand for the chemical and its derivatives.

Imports into the EU from the rest of the world decreased by 52%, while exports fell by 79%.

In April, imports increased by 75%, while exports decreased by 7%.
