PG exports from EU fall sharply in April, May

LONDON (ICIS)--Propylene glycol exports from the EU fell year-on-year both in April and May, according to data from Eurostat on Thursday.

In April, propylene glycol exports fell by 5% to 5,979 tonnes from 6,279 tonnes and by 20% in May to 7,766 tonnes from 9,767 tonnes.

Eurostat data for propylene glycol includes monopropylene glycol and propylene glycol ethers, however the official European statistics agency was unable to specify which other derivatives are included under this heading.
