SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s LG Chem has raised operating rates at its Daesan-based aromatics facility to 100% capacity, a company source said late on Thursday.
The plant was running at 60% capacity in the first week of July, while the facility was conducting maintenance work for catalyst regeneration, the source said.
The aromatics plant has a nameplate capacity of 200,000 tonnes/year of benzene, 48,000 tonnes/year of toluene and 36,000 tonnes/year of solvent xylenes.
The aromatics plant is on track to enter a second turnaround in September for 15 days.
