EU ethylbenzene exports see slight rise in May

LONDON (ICIS)--Eurostat figures released this week show that 100 tonnes of ethylbenzene (EB) was exported from the EU in May.

This is up both from the previous month and the same period last year, when exports of EB were negligible at 100kg and 300kg respectively.

EB is a highly captive product that is used in the production of styrene, with the majority of EB/SM (styrene monomer) units integrated, meaning that little if any material moves between global regions.
