SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Befar Group Ltd posted a 30% year-on-year decrease in its first-half 2013 net profit to yuan (CNY) 140m ($23m) on subdued markets for caustic soda and trichloroethylene, the company said on Monday.
Its revenue for the period declined 8.5% to CNY1.94bn, Befar said in a filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Befar Group is major producer of propylene oxide (PO), trichloroethylene and a leading producer of caustic soda in China.
The company is headquartered at Binzhou city in Shandong province.
