LONDON (ICIS)--Netherlands-based chemicals distributor IMCD said on Monday that it has been appointed by Belgian specialties producer Solvay to distribute a range of fluor- and perfluoroelastomers across Europe.

The agreement covers the Tecnoflon FKM product range produced by Solvay Specialty Polymers for use in the rubber industry, IMCD added.

Effective immediately, the deal covers the automotive, aerospace, energy and oil and gas industries.

The Tecnoflon fluoroelastomers and perfluoroelastomers are designed for sealing applications that need to withstand aggressive chemical or heat-intensive environments, according to Solvay.
