Sinopec produces 4.8m tonnes of ethylene in H1 2013

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec announced on Tuesday that its ethylene production in the first half of this year was 4.8m tonnes, up slightly by 0.6% from the same period in 2012.

Its oil and gas production in the first six months expanded by 3.8% year on year to 219.5m barrels of oil equivalent (boe), it said.

The biggest Asia refiner processed 848.5m barrels of crude oil in the January-June period, representing a year-on-year growth of 5.2%.

Meanwhile, its sales of oil products in China domestic markets rose 4.8% on year to 80.8m tonnes in the first half of this year.
