SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) is running its 700,000 tonne/year No 1 naphtha cracker in Mailiao at 80% capacity after the plant was restarted on 19 July following a brief unplanned shutdown due to a power outage, a company source said on Tuesday.

The cracker's operating rate is expected to be gradually increased this week, the source added without providing further details.

FPCC’s 1.03m tonne/year No 2 cracker and 1.2m tonne/year No 3 cracker at the same site are running at full rates, he added.
