HOUSTON (ICIS)--Motiva’s Port Arthur refinery in Texas has returned to normal operations after shutting down on 19 July in preparation for inclement weather, a company spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday.

The Shell spokesperson did not specify which units were shut at the 600,000 bbl/day refinery on 19 July.

Motiva is a 50:50 joint-venture between Royal Dutch Shell and Saudi Aramco.

The 232,000 bbl/day Total refinery in Port Arthur was also affected by the weather, resulting in a power outage, but a company spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
