HOUSTON (ICIS)--Chevron announced that it will increase posted prices for each of its Group II West coast produced base oils by 25 cents/gal effective 26 July, buyers and sellers confirmed on Tuesday.

Chevron’s Group II 600 grade base stock posted prices were at $4.95/gal ahead of the July increase which will bring the heavy grade price to $5.20/gal.

The company’s last increase on its Group II posted base oil prices was 12 March when it raised the price on 600 oils by 20 cents/gal.

Other base oil producers did not announce price changes by noon on Tuesday.

However, rising crude oil and wider vacuum gas oil (VGO) spreads are said to be causing several US base oil producers to evaluate the market potential for increases.
