SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Ningbo Heyuan late on Tuesday shut its 400,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Ningbo in China’s Zhejiang province after it experienced equipment failure, company sources said on Wednesday.
The plant is expected to be shut for seven days, according to a company source.
The equipment failure at the unit could be link to the plant’s boiler, sources said.
The shutdown will not have significant impact on the domestic market because of the short turnaround period.
