SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Skyford Chemical, also known as Ningbo Heyuan, had to shut its 600,000 tonne/year methanol-to-olefin (MTO) plant atNingbo city in Zhenhai of Zhejiang province due to power problems, a source close to the company said on Friday.
The plant was taken off line on 23 July and repairs are estimated to take around three to four weeks, the source added.
The MTO facility downstream 300,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant and its 500,000 tonne/year monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit at the same site are also shut at the same time.
