SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Malaysia’s Petlin plans to shut its 255,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant at Kerteh in Terengganu on 1 September for a turnaround that will last 30-45 days, a company source said on Thursday.

The shutdown of the PE plant will be in line with the cracker maintenance schedule of Petlin’s ethylene supplier Optimal Olefins, the source added.

Optimal Olefins has scheduled to shut its 600,000 tonne/year gas cracker in Kerteh in September for maintenance.
