SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indonesia-based PT Lotte Chemical Titan is ramping up production at its 200,000 tonne/year linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant at Merak, after restarting the unit on 25 July, a source close to the company said on Thursday.

The plant was shut on 8 July because of technical issues.

The plant should be able to run at its normal operating rates of 75-80% in a few days, the source said.

The plant does not operate at 100% capacity even under normal conditions because it is an old plant, he added.

The company was not immediately available for comment.
