LONDON (ICIS)--The European August styrene barge contract has been settled at €1,457/tonne ($1,943/tonne), an increase of €47/tonne from the previous month, two pairs of settling parties confirmed on Thursday.
The contract price was agreed on a free on board (FOB) Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) basis.
An increase had been widely expected, as prices saw sizeable gains throughout July and into August, on availability concerns.
