HOUSTON (ICIS)--US Enterprise Products Partners may further expand its liquified petroleum gas (LPG) exporting facility on the Houston Ship Channel, the company said on Thursday.
Enterprise recently completed renovations to the facility, allowing it to ship 7.5m bbl/month.
Company executives did not specify how much more capacity the expansion would provide, only saying “two or three more cargoes”.
However, the project would be a short one, capable of delivering a capacity increase with very little disruption, the company said.
Chief Operating Officer AJ Teague said the LPG export facility is performing beyond their expectations.
“We’re contracted through 2015 and we have [contracts] that extend out to 2022,” Teague said during an earnings call. “We’re also looking at another expansion of that that’s low cost and gets us pretty immediate capacity.”
