SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangmen Handsome Chemical Development plans to restart its 80,000 tonne/year butyl acrylate (butyl-A) plant in Jiangmen in early-to-mid August, a company source said on Friday.

The plant was shut on 4 July because of the lack of feedstock acrylic acid, the source said.

“We are currently still monitoring the market conditions, since downstream demand still remains relatively flat,” the source said.

Inspections are currently being carried out at the unit before the restart, the source added.
