Flaring seen at Lotte Chemical Titan's production site in Malaysia

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Flaring was seen at Lotte Chemical Titan Holding's production site in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, on Monday afternoon, according to a source close to the company.

The source declined to comment as to which plant was affected.

Titan runs two naphtha crackers - a 285,000 tonne/year unit and a 435,000 tonne/year unit - at the Pasir Gudang site.

The company was acquired by South Korean conglomerate Lotte Group’s subsidiary Honam Petrochemicals in July 2010.
