SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Rongsheng Petrochemical shut down one of its seven polyester plants at Xiaoshan in Zhejiang province on 3 August because of power restrictions, a company source said on Tuesday.
The plant with a 100,000 tonne/year capacity mainly produces bright polyester chips, the source said.
It remains unclear when the plant could be restarted.
Rongsheng Petrochemical’s six other polyester plants at the site, with a total capacity of 900,000 tonnes/year, are running at full capacity, the source said.
