HOUSTON (ICIS)--Centurion Pipeline LP, a unit of Occidental Petroleum, announced on Tuesday that it is proceeding with the construction of a pipeline system to transport crude oil from the Cline Shale in West Texas to its Colorado City stations.
The 100-mile system, expected to come on line by July 2014, will be able to transport 75,000 barrels of crude per day and interconnect with other systems which will provide access to the Texas Gulf Coast.
Several companies are already active in the West Texas Permian Basin, producing crude oil and natural gas.
Centurion Pipeline is a common carrier, oil-gathering and storage operator with headquarters in Houston, Texas.
