MELBOURNE (ICIS)--China’s Dynamic (Nanjing) Chemical Industry has restarted its 60,000 tonne/year ethylene oxide (EO) unit in Nanjing after completing a turnaround, a company official said on Wednesday.
The producer is running the EO plant at 100% capacity, after it achieved on-spec output on 5 August, the official said.
The plant was taken off line on 15 July to undergo maintenance.
Output at its integrated 80,000 tonne/year downstream butyl glycol (BG) plant was resumed in late July, the official added.
Dynamic (Nanjing) Chemical Industry is a subsidiary of Dynamic International Enterprises, which specialises in producing glycol ethers.
Its second EO unit, which is currently under construction, is scheduled to be started up in the second quarter of 2014.
Output at the new EO unit, which has a nameplate capacity of 100,000 tonnes/year, can reach 120,000 tonnes/year, the official said.
