SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Yangzi Petrochemical restarted its 600,000 tonne/year No 3 purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit in Nanjing on Wednesday after completing regular maintenance at the unit, a company source said.
The unit was taken off line on 26 July, the source said, adding that supply to customers were not affected by the shutdown.
Yangzi Petrochemical has two other PTA plants at the site – each with a 350,000 tonne/year capacity – one of which has been shut since early this year.
