NEW YORK (ICIS)--June US exports for ethylene glycol (EG) fell 9% year on year, according to trade data made available on Thursday by the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
EG US exports were down 2,984 tonnes to 29,553 tonnes in June from 32,537 tonnes in the same month last year.
On a month on month basis, exports fell 6.5% or 2,077 tonnes from 31,630 tonnes in May to 29,553 tonnes in June.
Meanwhile, EG US imports dropped 39% year on year to 52,820 tonnes in June 2013 from 86,628 tonnes in June 2012.
Month on month imports also plunged, showing a 41% or 37,174 tonne decline from 89,994 tonnes in May 2013 to 52,820 tonnes in June 2013, according to ITC.
