Japan July ethylene output rises 4.4% from June; up 3.6% on year

TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan's ethylene output in July rose by 4.4% month on month to 542,000 tonnes, and up 3.6% year on year, data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) showed on Friday.

Two unspecified naphtha crackers were shut for turnarounds in July, the same number of crackers shut in June, according to METI.

One cracker was shut for turnaround in July 2012, based on the data.
