SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China is estimated to have imported a combined 1.26m tonnes of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) in July 2013, up by 18.2% from the previous month, local traders said on Monday.
Some 831,000 tonnes of PE and 433,000 tonnes of PP were brought into the country last month, they said.
Comparing the numbers with the official data for June imports, July PE imports increased by 18.38%, while PP imports were up by 17.1%, traders said.
China Customs' data on July imports will be released around 24 August.
