LONDON (ICIS)--European freely negotiated bisphenol A (BPA) contract prices have dropped by €40/tonne ($53/tonne) because of lower feedstock costs and weak demand, sources said late on Friday.
The freely negotiated contract price is at €1,480-1,500/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).
Sales have declined in most parts of Europe because of summer shutdowns.
Some negotiations have been postponed to September or to later in August when sales managers return from their holidays because the market is not very active.
